  • So, a month and a half later....

Classes keep me really busy.  And I am swimming again, we'll se how it goes this year.  I seem to be doing okay so far, but we'll see how Jan term goes.  Our team is microscopic, we have6 people consistently come to practice now, our two fastest people quit and the next 2 fastest are contemplating quitting.  Then we will be the laughing stock of SCIAC conference.  Anyways my Jan term class is a lab, all day, 5 days a week.  So I don't know when I will have time to practice in there.  I don't want to quit, but I also want to pledge to a sorority this J-term.  Either way, I won't be sleeping in January.

I am glad that Sept is over and all the stuff that tailed into October has sort of faded out.  The start of term was an emotional plummet: youth leader passing away, my pets died, dating->single, another youth leader passing away, yikes, plus class.  But its all, like I said, drifting away.  Off to yucky food fromt eh Campus Inn.  YAY.

  • Back at WC, I feel like I have been here a month but instead its been a week and a half.  Things were going decent.  I've got a lot of reading a writing to do for my english classes.  Bah!  Quant is easy so far, biochem decent, still need to get the book...  2 of my fish have died since I came back, one tonight. Sadness, plus other crap is going down.  Ah, life on the small campus rocks doesn't it?

  • The last couple of weeks have sort of been a blur of vegging out and seeing people.  My friends and I went down to seaside OR for about 24 hrs total to go camping.  It wasn't quite my idea of camping and I think I was too tired to appreciate it.  Don's memorial service was the 20th of August and it was really nice.  I forgot what a sense of humor he had.  He had his family put "return to sender" bumper stickers on his casket before he was buried.  It was good to be there with the friends I met when I met him, chiefly, my camp friends who have been some of my closest friends in the past 5 years.

I finally got a brain transplant on my computer and I now have the task of reformatting and installing everything I once had.  It is going to be a royal pain in the butt considering I am already haveing troubles with the XP OS, its almost enough to make me go Apple.  Blasphemous, I know.  I am really excited to be heading back to school on Tuesday but wary of the travelling.  My friend in CA can no longer pick me up at the airport so I have to pay for a shuttle.  Kinda crappy.  WC should organize an Airport shuttle for tue and wed when the upper classmen can move in. every 3 hrs from LAX?  Sounds good to me.  I'd be willing to pay anything less than $20.  My roommate moved in today because she is doing society stuff on campus and called to see how I wanted the room arranged.  Honestly, as long as I have equal and defined space I don't really care.  I just want to be moved in and unpacked.  I am contemplating bring spaghetti and sauce w/ me on the plane so I can make myself that for the next 2 days.  My meal plan doesn't start until classes do.  Gotta love it.    I am kinda burned out on cooking for myself.  But CA isn't far away.

I'll be home again in Oct because my grandmother is throwing a birthday bash.  It will be fun but I have to miss 2 or 3 classes on that monday.  Every lecture counts now!  Ha! okay I'm done being the industrious student now.  I hope everyone's start of term is peachy keen.  Drop me a line, I would love to hear from y'all.
